Volcano House Bar by Hawaiʻi Artist Dietrich Varez
In 2012, Dietrich painted a scene from his days working as a bartender at the Volcano House, located in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Among the delights is Dietrich himself, wearing a rest vest and framed in the doorway, reaching for a bottle of gin as Pele (a painting within the painting), reaches her hand out towards him.
